1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 media screamin’ out “the Cup is dead!”

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 try telling that to Reading and Leeds
fashioning passion into comic-book deeds
Premier dreams from the roots and the seeds
the Cup isn’t dead – long live the Cup

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Accrington sparkled at the dawn of the game
Non- League – Championship all crave fame
try telling County and Cardiff the same
the Cup isn’t dead – long live the Cup

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 lanky centre forwards with goals in their eyes
beefy blokes up front who diet on pies
standing on terraces and always the surprise
the Cup isn’t dead – long live the Cup

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 armchair TV with four in a row
seesaw struggles that edged to and fro
huge great gulfs but you’d never know
the Cup isn’t dead – long live the Cup

Getting a bit fed up every year being told the Cup is dead…who cares.
From what I managed to see, without venturing out and with my grand-kids in tow for the weekend …it’s still very much alive..Keep on.
