There’s not a place on the earth or a wave in the sea
A cloud in the sky where I’d rather be
No other could tempt with promise of gold
And the devil’s too late for a claim on my soul

There are angels in heaven of those I have heard
But if you let me I’ll show where’s there’s angels on earth
Their wings aren’t pure white for they’re robed in the red
And they’ll take you to heaven where all angels tread

There’s a guide by the gates a man of the faith
He will welcome you in, Bill Shankly the same
There’s a wall as you enter with 96 names
And they cry out for Justice ‘neath the Eternal Flame

Oh dreams we are dreaming come light bear the day
Shake death from her malice and drive her away
None judge on the reason none judge rich or poor
We’re here for the Redmen we’re here one and all

I look on the Kemlyn through a thin veil of tears
And I wish that me Dad was still with me here
So you’ll see there are angels on God’s own football park
If you walk on to Anfield with hope in your heart…
