The Emeralds Of Celtic

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’ve been watching the Celtic since I was a child
The skills of the bhoys filled my young heart with pride
Jinkly Johnstone with passion was Lord of the wings
And Caesar reborn as the bold Billy McNeil

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Bobby Murdoch a prince and Steve Chalmers a saint
The Immortal Jock Stein with his Lions mauled Herrera’s Milan
Lennox and auld and the faith of Simspon defending his posts
Jim Craig helped him out along with John Thompson’s Ghost

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 John Clarke and Tommy Gemmell fine lads in the green
Wispy Wallace on fire was the oil in the machine
And we’d stand on The Jungle and sing each of their names
Hereos and Legends were born at this grand Parkhead place.
