The Fallen Idol.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The fallen idol vents his wrath
When blingers least expect it
Then the one true red with any cred
Heads toward the exit

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Tis right to be taken down a peg
When results do go agin
To feel the skippers rantings
As he tells you ” We must win”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “Pack yer bag, yer past it, sad”
The whispers start to fly
“When you’ve scaled the heights that he has
Then ye can criticize”

Notes

Wow!

Not allowed to have a go at blingers and whingers in public then?

The overpaid under-achievers have won then have they? The skipper or anybody else is not allowed to berate those who are just not good enough to play for our chosen teams, despite what we pay them!

The dressing room door closes for the last time on a very committed Corkman who despite it all, we would all have loved to have in our team if we speak in all honesty with our hands on our hearts!

Watch this space, there’s more in this story, surely?

peace.

kev.
