The Fickleness Of A Football Fan

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I love football
Always have
And always will.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 BUT, I moan about prices,
I’d rather stand than sit
But got a season ticket.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I slag off our players
But clap and cheer when they
score, a two faced supporter.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Often say to my mate, that’s it,
not coming anymore, but never ever
miss any more matches.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Join in shouting at the ref.
But secretly thinking,
You’ve got that one spot on.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Jolly banter with the away fans
In the pub before the game,
But dislike them in the ground.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Say I detest the booing,
Of an ex returning player,
But jeer him nevertheless.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Is fickleness contagious
Widespread at football grounds
Common only to the football fan ?

Notes

I honestly believe I become a different person at games, hence the theme, but observing others at matches, I’m definetly not on my own.
But no matter how much we moan and groan at football in general, we all know only too well, we love it, even with all it’s faults, warts and all, so no matter what happens in the future to our game, we will still be there !
