The Freewheelin’ Sean Dillon

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Could we get a victory in Vilnius?
The answer wasn’t blowin’ in the wind.
No hurricane did moan
Like a mighty rolling stone,
And there was no hard rain to leave us skinned.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The times, those blesséd times, they were a changin’,
That vict’ry wasn’t tangled up in blue.
But still we lost the head
When the ref blew up and said
That it’s all over now, baby blue.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We knocked on heaven’s door and it was answered.
We asked them for some shelter from the storm.
But they told us it was calm,
Way beyond on Maggie’s Farm,
And Fourth Street, well, was positively warm.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Tambourine Man played his song for Shelbourne.
The Mighty Quinn was praying for release.
And though the lady wouldn’t lay,
All the fans yelled out “Hooray!”
As they hailed another Dillon masterpiece.
