I bet they’re shakin’ in their shorts
And scared to come and play
Hopin’ that it rains and rains
With snow and ice and hail
I bet they’ve begged the gaffa
“Ah Boss they’re just too good”
And he has threatened and cajoled
“Gerron that blooody bus”
“Yer goin’ and that’s final
Just go and do your best
And remember lads when it gets tough
You’ve a Liverbird upon yer chest!”
