The Goal Celebration

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The goal has been scored
so fans do jump about
some like to shake your hand
while many scream and shout.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We all though are different
in how we celebrate
but we all have one thing in common
in that we’re all feeling great.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 A hug, a grab of an arm,
or a hold around the neck,
which can be quite alarming
if the fan is built like Shrek.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But one or two are less boisterous
and like to sit and simply clap
until a supporter flys through the air
and ends up lying on their lap.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But there’s one goal celebration
I’d avoid and give a miss
is if my mate suddenly decided
to grab hold and administer a sloppy kiss !

Notes

In the recent Paint Trophy match versus Preston we were losing 2-1 on ninety minutes.

But in the five minutes added on we banged in two goals to win through.

We Sky Blue fans went berserk, lots of hugging which inspired this.

But we have all seen pictures over the years of players kissing each other after a goal, but thankfully not on the terraces.

Or does it go on ? Nothing shocks me anymore !
