The great and not so great.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Martins, Coloccini, Gutierrez
Nolan, Smith, and Duff
Enrique, Xisco and Barton
I think I have named enough.
Humiliated by the Orient
Described by Chris Hughton as a blip
This rag bag of overpaid imposters
Ready to abandon our fast sinking ship.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But the next evening a footballing legend
Restored our faith and our pride
When geordies in their thousands
And many more besides.
Stood and applauded in admiration
On a wonderful and emotional night
Supporting Sir Bobby Robson
Still fighting his very last fight.
And while this man so greatly admired
A footballing icon supreme
Where were Mike Ashley and Llambias ?
Shamefully……….Nowhere to be seen.

Notes

I have witnessed over the years some very emotional nights at St James’ Park, But the game played on Sunday 26th of July which was a rematch of the 1990 semi final between England and Germany in the world cup was a bit special, Sir Bobby Robson’s charity work continues unabated despite his failing health. A man of courage and dignity, two quality’s the present owner of Newcastle Utd Mike Ashley and his chairman Derek Llambias clearly lack. They did not even have the decency to turn up.
