The Jaded in Red

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 by Chris de buerre – a man who likes to butter up the ladies!

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I’ve never seen you looking so tired as you did tonight
I’ve never seen the opposition look so bright
I’ve never seen so many men as if in a trance
There’s no stopping the advance
Given blocks the only half chance
And I’ve never seen that kit you’re wearing
Or those floodlights on your hair
There’ll be no prize
I have been blind

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The jaded in Red are dissing me off
Chic to bleak
There’s nobody to fear
Only ourselves
It’s not where we wanna be
But I hardly know this mockery of a side
I’ll never forget the way you played tonight

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’ve never seen you looking so tired as you did tonight
I’ve never seen the opposition look so bright, they were amazing
I’ve never seen so many people watching from the side
And when you were turned inside out so easily, it took my breath away
And you were never less appealing, bringing on such a feeling
Of complete and utter frustration, as we lose tonight

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The jaded in red are declining with me
Antique physique
Soon there’ll be nobody here
Just them and me
It’s not fair but it’s gonna be
But I’ll have you know, ’tis duty to my side
I’ll never forget the way you played tonight

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Nor will I ever forget the way you played those other nights
The jaded in red
My team in red
I still love you

Notes

Apologies to Princess Diana’s favourite songster
And belated congratulations on his daughter being crowned Miss World

I’m sure I don’t have to spell out the original!
