Joshua stepped up to take the free,
As the Jericho defenders stood in line.
But first he paused in silent reverie,
Seeking inspiration so divine.

And suddenly a host of ramhorns blew,
Trumpet blasts that soared into the sky
That seemed to rent the stadium in two,
With decibels that echoed upon high.

And then the crowd with one well-practised voice,
Great Israelite supporters of renown,
Did loudly and with unison rejoice,
And suddenly the wall came tumbling down.
