The Last Home Game Of The Season!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I hear the turnstiles clicking as with excitement my heart quickens
The noise and the aroma’s that would stir from you from a coma
As the fans in expectation make their way to seats not taken
The sun is shining brightly as the home team comes out sprightly
Sometimes games seem longer, as on each thrill you ponder
Halftime comes with needing as a break in the proceedings
Will you have a dodgy burger that your stomach it might murder?
Or will bovril raise your cheer you only drink it when your here
As the two teams turn around the away fans raise the sound
That the home team must drown out or its like an achilles heel found out
The referee is booed and his parentage misconstrued
The away keeper, he is next I think I’ll leave that from this text!
As the game comes to a close everybody knows
Why we win, lose or draw, that’s why we come back for more
Its the last home game and the reason, Why I loathe the cricket season!!
