Blimey that noise
That’s another i’ve tipped round the post

But only a fool
Would stand here like this on his own

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Ahh..that last shot really hurt
I’m down in the dirt
The boys give me a pat on the back

I’ve this strength in my mind
As the Arsenal mount another attack

Came right back off the post
Straight up I thought I was beaten

It’s been cleared by someone
To safety, I was almost caught sleeping

So we’re heading toward
A valuable three point away win

To try and grab a Champions League rating

Notes

These are my version of the thoughts of Robert Green, as he played, what at times looked like, alone against the Arsenal, last weekend, in one of the most courageous displays of goalkeeping that I’ve seen for ages.

Wenger said afterwards, “We could and should have scored ten” he forgot to mention or praise, as is usual, the brave display of the other sides custodian.

I don’t think that Green is a Londoner, but as he plays for a team in the East End of London, thats how his thoughts come to have some proper
cockney sayings in them!
