The Match

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Just a plain, hard plastic seat
Flat clean concrete to stand my feet
Toilets with paper in endless rolls
Attacking football and scores of goals

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A short person sat in front so I can see
Half-time break with a flask of tea
Drawn at home for plum cup-ties
Free-flowing football, how time flies

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 No booming music or clowns on stilts
No pyrotechnics or skydivers in kilts
Just a physio with a bucket and magic sponge
Real grass to play on; and football is FUN

Notes

It’s best when it’s simple. From my seat I can see City Hall, Norwich Cathedral and Delia Smiths mum. I feel at home at Carra Rud and hope it doesn’t get upgraded/changed any more (um from Norfolk, we fare change we rarely du).

Neil Adams and his team have got it right on the pitch and its happy days; the goals, the comebacks, seven games in 22 days, hurrah…OTBC…
