The McDonagh Poet

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He’s green white and gold
From his boots to his soul
For the hoops he would die for their cause
He’ll tell you the tales of the paradise days
When the Jungle would rumble and roar
Now he left Gallowgate it was many a day
And he took to the sea with his kin
In his warm Celtic scarf singing songs with his Da
Prayed to God for a bold Celtic win
From Jinky to Larsson from Maley to Stein
From the Lions to O’Neil’s grand team
From the pen of a boy who’s a proud tim malloy
For the hoops in the emerald green

Notes
