The Month of December

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re in the month of December I’ve just seen a village tree being lit.
Under that tree ‘presents’ were stacked and on top pretty angels sit.
We’re in the month of December, parties and family gatherings take hold.
But spare a thought for 96 people who have been left out in the cold.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We’re in the month of December, Christmas talk on everybody’s lips.
Liverpool City Centre is crowded with people on festive shopping trips.
But for 96 people, a different sort of Christmas present awaits for those.
As prayers and thoughts you can’t wrap up, and where do I send this rose?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 We’re in the month of December and many a family Christmas won’t be
complete.
At that Christmas table once again, there sadly remains that empty seat.
But may I offer this comforting thought, because I know it comforts me?
The 96 angels that light up heaven shine brighter than any Christmas tree.

Notes
