delivering pizza, McClaren’s form
was a recipe that stirred a claim
when safely “out of our hands”, and over
to Israel placing failure further
and Croatia were just too good to blame.
The top manager needed a new name
and a search was announced for the better.
After thirty-two caps for Italy,
he broke the tradition of catenaccio.
Maybe his new team will win a World Cup.
He once scored a famous goal at Wembley,
has titles in whichever stadio
he’s managed, a collection adding up.
