The Newcastle Roar.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Dressed in my football shirt
with stripes of white and black.
I used to have Alan Shearer
but now I’ve got Owen on my back.
These are two great favourites
but if anyone should score,
They’d be sure to get a welcome
from the St James’ Park roar.

Let’s hear the Newcastle Roar,
the Newcastle roar, the Newcastle roar, Oh yeah.
The Newcastle roar,
the Newcastle roar, the Newcastle roar, Oh yeah.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I appeal to the God of football,
to save our football souls,
by helping us win a cup or two
while scoring lots of goals.
We have fifty thousand cheering
and it’s not that much we’re asking,
just to give Arsenal or Man U,
the occasional good thrashing!

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I travel to every home match
with my entire family.
We sit in that giant stand
and need binoculars to see.
There’s lots of biting finger nails
and cries of -” Away, the lads, away!”
Mum pulls her hair in frustration,
while dad’s is turning grey!

REPEAT CHORUS.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Football is full of passion,
football is full of joy.
Football is full of heartache.
Football is full of noise.
Once you’ve the bug (or season ticket!)
you turn up rain or shine,
whether they are playing badly,
(which they do some of the time!)
