The Party’s Over.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Oil and grease the turnstiles
Close the great big gates
Think of sights you’ve seen this year
Standing with yer mates
There have been some high points
One or two quite low
Did you get promoted?
Or stay down below?
What about a cup run
How d’yer do in that?
All those dodgy offside calls
From officials who were crap
Will you renew your season ticket?
Same seat for next season
Next to a mate you love to hate
For whatever reason!
Will you buy a new shirt?
As sponsors name has changed
Still more dough you have to throw
To follow the beautiful game
Look on the brightside
When every Saturday comes
You could be stuck indoors with yours
Twiddling yer thumbs!!!
Have yerself a bit of a rest
From all the stress and angst
Remember there’s all someone worse off
Right now we could be Manc’s!!!
