The Red Liverpool Shirt

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Red shirts oh deep red
Emblazoned with history
The LiverBird silent in her vigil
Whilst her sons and daughters
Choose well
Pulling on the red jersey
Smoothing down the creases
As fingers reverently outline
The crest wet with kisses
From the rains of Glory
Greatness and Goals.

Notes

“I was born by the banks of the Mersey
Facin the Irish Sea
It might not look like heaven to you
But its home sweet home to me”
