The Sailsbury Pub – Anfield

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Feeling on pins as the end draws near
Hurry up Ref blow the damn thing,
I need to get to the pub and have a beer
While all the time the Kop does sing.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Finally the end of the match
I bound for the exit as quick as I can,
I need to get to my patch
As I am a Salisbury Liverpool fan.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Once inside I order a round
And sit with the lads and gossip out loud,
Football rumours, chit and chat
For every silver lining there is a cloud.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The night finally draws to a close
I bid goodnight to my red mates
Remembering the match and all the goals
As I wonder through the Shankly Gates.

Notes

After the game I visit the Sailsbury Pub on Sailsbury Road Anfield. Although run down it has a great atmosphere! :o)
