The Sky Blue Army

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Seven thousand Coventry fans
decked out in their Sky Blue,
on their way to MK Dons
downing a pint or two.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We’re loudly singing our songs
as we slowly enter the ground,
inside we pack the away end
creating a wall of sound.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 At half time we’re losing one nil
as the Cov fans drink the bars dry,
all refreshed we head back inside
“come on you City,” the supporters cry.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We get a deserved equaliser at last
which sends us fans wild with delight,
our team is starting to get on top
we’ve a feeling it’s going to be our night.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 With only ten minutes left on the clock
we get a free kick thirty yards out,
our new loan signing shapes to take it
surely he can’t score from there we shout ?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But he confidently curls in a real beauty
and it sails sweetly into the net,
their keeper is rooted to the spot
but you ain’t seen nothing yet.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 A couple of minutes later we get another one
surely he can’t do the same once more ?
but in flies yet another screamer
and in all the excitement I end up on the floor.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 The Sky Blue Army are now in raptures
as seven thousand fans sing out loud,
we have come behind to win three one
we are all together Coventry and proud.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 So even though we haven’t got a home
and our stupid owners ain’t got a clue,
us fans will still travel in our numbers
and fill away grounds with Sky Blue !

Notes

Our away support on Saturday was a record for MK Dons stadium as nearly seven thousand of us went.

We have always had a good away following, but this season due to the boycott of Sixfields, we snap up every ticket going on the road.

The two free kicks by Maguire were brilliant and if Rooney or Beckham had scored them the papers would have been raving about them.

Both twenty to thirty yards out and I recommend watching them both online as they are that good !
