1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 My heart went out to the Toon
This semi-final came too soon
Injuries and a one man defence
Failed to stop the Roon

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 As Dyer and Bowyer so cocooned
Left their teammates so marooned
High and dry and in the Cardiff sky
The heavens opened too!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Blaydon Races was the song
That came from the black and white throng
Of Geordie boys who made a noise
And a journey oh so long.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 You’d have thought
That they had won
As the Toon
Just sung and sung

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 This Geordie loyalty
Should be treated as royalty
As from Lisbon
They had come!

Awesome display of fansmanship. As everything just fell apart in front of their eyes. The TOON just kept on giving it their all for the boys out on the field who were just trying their best to stop the game turning into a complete hiding. Where were the ManYoo fans? They did win the game did’nt they?
