The toughest job in Football ?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It’s been called the hardest job in the game
and it can turn dark hair overnight into Grey
some say it’s tougher than being Prime Minister
so what is this job then I hear you say ?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Well I’ll tell you it’s being the England Manager
where you need skin that’s Rhino thick
and if the press don’t rate your selections
they’ll be sarcastic and give you stick.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Steve McClaren was the Wally with the brolly
while Graham Taylor was nicknamed The Turnip
Glen Hoddle got it in the neck for being spiritual
and Kevin Keegan got accused of jumping ship.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But they’ll still build them up to be world beaters
just so they can then bring them down
and when they fail to reach the final
the manager will be ridiculed and called a clown.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But us fans still go along with all their hype
even when we know the Three Lions aren’t the best
but following England is like supporting Coventry City
you’ll end up in tears, suicidal and really depressed !

My team has just got relegated and there’s talk that things could even get worse with us losing our stadium and even liquidation.

All us Sky Blue fans are full of anxiety just now but the local press seem to be lapping it up.

So even though I want England to do well next month my mind is firmly on my club and what will happen over the next few months.
