The Yellow Phase

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Good ol’ little Norridge
Bring a splash of colour to Stanford Bridge
Chelsea scored with five minutes on the clock
“That’s more than ominous”

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The commentary team thought it was going to be a Chelsea landslide
But even with ten men
Eleven added minutes of injury time
And a Portuguese Man of War –
They didn’t scare us
Though the game had a PG certificate
With scenes of mild peril
Drogba knocked out cold
By our keeper taking command of his area

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Norwich gave Chelsea a real fight
Garnt Holt is a real roister-doister

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We’re not here just to get our photographs taken with the big boys
We’ve earned the right to compete
And we did

Notes

Norwich lost 3-1 to Chelsea.
Back in the Premier League and enjoying it so far. I’ve only looked at the table once and we were above Arsenal and Spurs among others. (time to stop looking)
NB A roister-doister is a noisy ruffian, a big fellow making a nuisance of himself. An old-fashioned centre forward and I wouldn’t swap Holt for Rooney, Torres, Carroll, AND Drogba.
AVB was less than polite to Paul Lambert – is AVB so new to the English game he doesn’t understand the real meaning of Scottish Power?
