This Is Anfield!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Malcolm McDonald
Strolls out of the dressing room
Espies thou sacred sign
That says “This Is Anfield”
Just that one revered line
“Hey boys, we’re at Anfield”
He says ignorant in his jest
Other Geordies decline
To beat the Pool despite this fool
Is all that’s on their minds!
The Geordies they get meullered
With sadness leave the field
The Pool have gone to town on them
They could do nowt but yield
Shankly sees McDonald
Who’d been acting like a twat
“Yes son this is Anfield
Next time you’ll remember that!”

Notes

I think a scouse mate of mine told me this story, yes I do have some of those. It’s always struck me as a really stupid gesture by McDonald, like a red rag to a Pool!!!

peace.
