Who fired Wolves forward,
Year after year.

Molineux, charismatic idol
Of aquiline profile; maker
And taker of chances
In an instant; born showman,
King of the North Bankers.

A left-wing wizard
Of the old school, jinking
Through hefty touchline tackles
To flight crosses goalwards;
True grace under pressure.

Ace penalty taker; lank locks,
Shirt hanging loose.
Majestic midfielder – so
Deadly from distance, that
Arm-raised goal salute.

Sure-footed predator.
Lethally elusive marksman,
A hero to many; capped but
Once for his country.
