Those Who Have And Those Who Do Not

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Sell me a ticket
A wristband or two
Make my conscience feel clear
The way that the whole thing is going
We’ll all starve till the end of next year

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Play a few songs by old Elton John
Wheel out a few old has beens
Ressurrect dead careers
As the pc crowd cheer
Though they’ve no idea who they’ve seen

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Despots and crooked dictators
Are robbing and starving their own
And you want me to make a donation
Or give them an interest free loan

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Round up old Sting I’m sure he would bring
The Police to sort it all out
Where did all the money go last time
As famine and stavation stand proud?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Some African footballers are millionaires
They seem to have lost their voice
Nobody chooses hunger and famine
It’s not as if you have a choice

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 In France and Holland
In Spain and England
Serious money is made
By African boys who have made it
Whilst youngsters stiil find early graves

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 We all have a voice
Though not all the choice
To leave desparation behind
So lets hear it for Africa’s idols
As they do their bit for mankind???

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Who is this man we call Geldof?
What team does he play for
Is he some Dubh smuggled in on a sub
Or did Shelboune just show him the door?

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Give yer man a knighthood
Jaysus we already have
With Bono and co
Let the world know
There are those
Who just do not have!!!

Notes

All the Live Eight stuff is doing me head in with two or three camps competing for the frontline and all the publicity, I think its getting tacky. So I just thought the African football community might like to make some sort of a gesture to help their fellow man and woman. As me ranting and raving suggests!!!

peace.
