Ticket Prices

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Economics A-Level, pretty basic stuff:
When demand for goods is strong, prices soon go up.
If supply exceeds demand, or demand tails off,
Sure as night doth follow day, prices quickly drop.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Certain things we simply must buy –
Food, drink, clothes and shoes.
But regarding all the rest,
We are free to choose.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 If you work and earn,
If you’ve cash to burn,
There are lots of ways to spend it,
Football’s only one of many.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So, if you think your Club is charging
Too much for the game,
There is something you can do,
More than just complain:

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Go and watch a movie
At your multiplex,
Buy a nice, new duvet,
Or a pair of specs.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But…don’t go to the Stadium,
Steer clear of the Ground,
Create a bank of empty seats,
Lo, prices will come down.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 ‘Cos, “If supply outstrips demand,
Or demand tails off,
You can bet your bottom buck,
Prices soon will drop…”
