Together

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Don’t judge me by the colour of my skin
I am proud of who I am
My mam and dad are proud of me
And so is my dear old gran
So make your family proud of you
And one day fulfil your dream
And we’ll be team mates together
United in our team
And I’ll be black and you’ll be white
But we shall play the game as one
And we shall achieve our finest goal
When all prejudice is gone.

Notes

This is my little contribution to a project Newcastle Utd are now holding for year six pupils in local schools as part One game One community weeks of action 16-28 October. The club has already rec’d some wonderful poems.
