True Fans?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’ve sighed, cried,
Been verbally crucified
At my choice of local team
Some weeks, we were simply bad
Other weeks?……Extremely

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When fair weather fans changed alliegance
I stood, stoutly proud
When mediocrity was our striker
I cheered him, out aloud

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When things went wrong
I sat upon, my seat, with head in hands
Why did I, do all these things?
Cos I’m a football fan

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Now change has come
The games are fun, match days no longer dark
The suits have all returned of course
To them its just a lark

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 If it all goes pear shaped tomorrow
As it could, cos that is fate
I’d still be here to cheer them on
Along with all me mates

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Ridicule us. if you want to
Thick skinned is what we are
Belief in the dreams of our chosen team, will spur us on
Cos true fans is what we are
