1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Come inside Lauren, and sit thisen down
Tha’s coom a long way for t’ get here
And now tha’s got a right gradely chance
T’ see part of Lancashire’s crown.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There’s two lots o’ reds not that far away
We’ve also got two lots o’ blues
Forget them f’ now, for tha’ll soon see them all
Cos it’s them lots as we’ve got t’ play.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 There’s blue an white Blackburn just over them hills
There isn’t much love lost between us,
Wi Wigan as well, just a cockstride away
We’ll be havin some low transport bills.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Tha’ll soon learnt the accent, an t’lingo also
Like “sithee”, and “ow do owd lad”
If tha still needs t’ know le pie and le pint,
In Lanky, then go and ask Bruno.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’ve a world full o’ players in this northern town
They play well, and earn the respect
Try hard for the fans, cos they pay your pay,
And mek sure that the Whites don’t go down.

Notes

Thanks Parry.
Thought I’d welcome the lad, and try a bit of Lanky dialect as well (Bit self indulgent really, but as I’ve been a a dialect fan for 40 years, I thought i’d have a go at writing it!!)
