U’s Sorry Now

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It wasn’t a Magnificent Seven
An indifferent seven, led by our Captain Doc
Embarrassed by our surrogate local rivals
Turned into the first day shock

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Fans (all two of them) invaded the pitch
Were dealt with by officials (official line)
The kit man and physio nabbed the men
Our stewards turned up in time

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Colchester scored seven
What a start to their season
Norwich got their revenge
By depleting the U’s management legion

Notes

Norwich City, managed by Bryan Gunn, were beaten 7-1 by Colchester, managed by Paul Lambert. Bryan Gunn was sacked and Paul Lambert installed in his place. Guess our Chief Exec watched that infamous opener and thought ‘I’ll have some of that’ and gave the bloke a job. We, the fans, were wondering what now?, and the answer was right under our noses (guv). Lambert brought two other Colchester staff with him and discussions are underway between the two clubs for a compensation package.

Why do I think that Colchester will have the last laugh?
