What more can I say about Emmanuel Adebayor? His celebrating in front of us was in its self petulant but understandable considering that some of the Arsenal fans were less than complementary of him. I was not among the Arsenal fans who chose to sing about Adebayor and do not agree with those who did.

However, what I do not understand is his ‘challenge’ on Robin Van Persie which at the time I thought was simply ill-timed but having watched MOTD that night was revealed as being malicious and pre-meditated. It was completely intentional and there is no place for that in professional football.

Generally, when a player leaves Arsenal they are fondly remembered such as Vieira, Henry, Pires and Campbell. However, after this incident Adebayor will not be remembered as an Arsenal great.
