Viva Blackpool!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Blackpool here we come
The Vegas of the North
With bucket and spade and marmalade
Into the next FA Cup round, the fourth
With the wind blowing right through us

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 If it’s Grim Up North it’s Dim in the East
At least we’ll see the illuminations
We might find our hopes built on sand
With towering recriminations
Fear running right through us

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Forget banana skins of ‘little’ teams
We could be segmented by the Tangerines
Keep your eyes peeled or they’ll take the pith
Kiss Me Quick hat for you, old bean
And their attack could go right through us

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 It’s a long old way to travel
To play the League One side from the sea
We’ll turn up in our luxury coach
Will they turn us over in time for tea?
And the rock has giantkilling running through it

Notes

I guess Blackpool are looking forward to this game more than we are. Our best chance of being in the hat for the fifth round is a waterlogged pitch.

Play up, play up and play the game.
