Walk On By

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Yards from the millionaire’s playground
In the shadow of stadium walls
He sits down with his faithful hound
As the homebound traffic crawls

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A child’s guitar, he eagerly strums
To an audience who choose not to hear
Occasionally, they will throw their crumbs
Some should know better but laugh and jeer

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For the greying dog and the man in tatters
Success is sharing a warm meat pie
That winning goal is all that matters
To the glowing faces that walk on by
