Waterford 0 Shelbourne 1

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “Gales across Ireland,” the Met. Office said,
“With winds building up to a storm.”
It’s wild and it’s wintry, and summer has fled,
But tonight I feel happy and warm.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 ‘Twas an ill wind for Derry, as Bohs packed defence,
And Drogs got a bit of a blow.
Poor Cork were too windy, too shot-shy and tense,
And inside my heart is aglow.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For Shels beat the Blues with a penalty kick,
A vict’ry, though scarcely with ease.
The stormclouds are gathering and Rennie is sick,
But for us, sure, ain’t life just a breeze?

On a wild and wintry night, Shels are the only one of the top four to win. Now 8 points ahead of Cork with a game in hand, and nine points ahead of Derry, who have 3 games in hand.
