WC2014 Day 12 Chile 0 Netherlands 2

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s a beauty in his running,
lightning speed and perfect balance,
allied to a feral cunning,
oft detracting from his talents.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Straining every muscle, striving
for a pass he’s intercepted.
Shame his fondness for the diving
means he’ll never be accepted.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Electric speed leaves full-backs trailing,
catch him, catch him if you can.
Great control and seldom failing
to find the shot or find the man.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Never let him cut inside boys,
keep him on his weak right foot.
But he’ll simply skin you wide, boys,
leave you sprawling on your butt.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The cake was dressed in Memphis icing,
fit to grace such great events.
But the goal was Robben’s, slicing
through the Chilean defence.
