WC2014 Day 2 Cameroon 0 Mexico 1

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Plenty of rain in the air
and plenty of rain on the grass.
Difficult playing with flair
and difficult showing one’s class.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The downpour meant it was unfair
to castigate every stray pass.
McLaren’s umbrella, if there,
would have made an appearance, alas.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The puddles which formed everywhere
resembled great windows of glass,
and the players were quite unaware
they were teeming with flounder and bass.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The ref nearly stopped the affair,
not because of the wors’ning morass
but because Assou-Ekotto’s hair
was approaching its critical mass.

Notes

There should be some law against hair like that… (says one who has precious little)
