WC2014 Day 24 Advice to Juan Zuniga

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Well, the news from the hospital is really pretty grim.
Neymar broke a vertebra, looks like you’ve done for him.
They’re gathering at the hospital and shouting out his name
and searching all the buildings for the person who’s to blame.
Don’t mind them when they tell you that this football’s just a game.
A nasty foul, oh baby,
best leave Sao Paolo, baby.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He was the golden boy of football with the highlights in his hair,
flamboyant as the holy football gods of yesteryear.
But all that has changed since the news came through last night
and the nature of his injury has slowly come to light.
The people are unhappy and they vow to venge his plight.
They’re gonna kill ya, baby,
best leave Brasilia, baby.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Well, they know who you are and you’d better get out quick.
The pundits on the telly may well give you lots of stick
but the fans on the street are really in an ugly mood.
They didn’t like your tackle, it was cynical and crude.
Don’t go out on the streets today and try and be the dude.
Watch for that razor, baby,
leave Fortaleza, baby.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They’re lighting flaming torches and they’re running down the street.
The drums are a-pounding to the rhythmic samba beat.
Get yourself a trilby, Juan, and pull the brim down low.
Don’t talk to anyone and watch out where you go.
Don’t hang around and try to damn the rising flow.
If it were me, oh baby,
I’d forget Rio, baby.
