1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Five goals that would set all the neutral fans cheering.
‘Unbeatable Dutch’ tag was near disappearing.
They dithered at times when they should have been clearing.
But writing them off would be folly.
But oh, what a Tim Cahill volley!

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Van Persie feeds Robben and then vicey-versey.
Robben won’t miss with the goal at his mercy.
If it’s on his right foot, he’ll set up Van Persie.
Small wonder the Dutch fans are jolly.
But oh, what a Tim Cahill volley!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 This World Cup is famed for the games it produces.
And Holland were handed three goals by the Bruces.
They’d small bits of rope which they turned into nooses.
The Aussies are quite melancholy.
But oh, what a Tim Cahill volley!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Aussie’s are out and the manager’s surly.
They played with great passion, their players big and burly.
If you think they deserve to be returning home early,
then clearly you’re quite off your trolley.
For oh, what a Tim Cahill volley!
