13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

14 Leave a comment on verse 14 0 Wild Boar FC
Need a goal or two –
Not the ball nestling in the net
But short term targets to keep hopes up
As the water rises, knee deep;
“my favourite food”
“not too much homework please”
“don’t forget my birthday”;

15 Leave a comment on verse 15 0 Now it’s taking true teamwork
To get everyone out alive
Divers and experts collaborating
While tv reports elaborating
On the plans and attempts so far…

16 Leave a comment on verse 16 0 International Rescue for real

Notes

Saturday 7th July 2018

Q-F

England 2-0 Sweden

Croatia 2-2 Russia, Croatia win 4-3 on penalties

On Sunday 8th July, the International Rescuers got 4 boys from Wild Boar FC to safety.
The other 8 must wait with their teacher and a squad of divers until the next day.

Efforts are being ramped up, with monsoon waters rising.

Monday 9th July:
at least one more boy has emerged, hopefully more soon!

One local diver has already died in the preparations. ….
Saman Gunan was returning from a mission to provide the group with air tanks when he ran out of oxygen.

He lost consciousness and could not be revived. His colleagues said they would “not let the sacrifice of our friend go to waste”.

God bless them all.

PS
At the end of the tournament, as a summary, I am going to attempt my own World Cup A-Z!

Anyone up for the challenge?!

Hint:
V won’t be Vuvuzela this time!!!
