We Fleet

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We Fleet,
We happy Fleet,
We band of supporters.
For he today, that sings out loud with me,
Shall be a true supporter, who has travelled miles.
This day shall live forever in Fleet tradition,
And fans in England, now at home
Shall think always with regret, they were not here
And will hold their breaths in awe
While Lord Chas speaks
Of those that sing with us
On quarter-final day.

Notes

Rallying call to all Fleet fans to come to Burton Albion for the quarter-final of the FA Trophy. First game since the official takeover of Ebbsfleet United by myfootballclub.co.uk website. Obviously I’ve used St Crispins’ speech from Henry V. Apologies to Mr Shakespeare and friends for using such an hallowed piece of writing in this way. Lord Chas is a commentator on Radio Kent who cover The Fleet games.
