Wengers boys

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 “Arsenal, Wenger’s Boys”
” The Best Side I’ve Ever Seen”
By Paul Collins (Gabby Cabby)

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Quality, class, power and pace,
Arsenals my tip, in the championship race,
The football you play, is three-touch and neat,
It makes me sit on the edge of my seat.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What a fantastic job that the gaffer has done,
He’s turned you into a world-class outfit, second to none,
You used to have a ‘boring’ tag, but you took no offence,
And recognised that all great teams are built on a solid defence.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 When controversy comes calling, and we’re all chewing the fat,
Arsene, with tongue in cheek, says “I did not see that”,
I’m Birmingham City though and through, a Blue till I die,
But I watch in wonderment with a glint in my eye.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 With Dennis the non-flying Dutchman, the joy that you’ve brought,
Your gifts were from God, they cannot be taught,
Pires is a master, he’s learnt all his craft,
When he’s on top of his game, he can make you look daft.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 You’re strong down the middle, with Vieira and co.,
from box to box in 12 seconds, just watch ‘em go,
Thierry’s amazing, his brain is so quick, and plays with a smile on his face,
He’ll latch onto that through ball, with his blistering pace.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 So with great individuals, you still play as a team,
I’m 39 years old and you’re the best side that I’ve seen,
But great teams, win great cups, and until now Europe’s just slipped away,
Though, I don’t rule out being crowned Champions of Europe at the back end of May.
