WE’RE NOT ON OUR WAY TO WEMBLEY.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Just a fortnight ago Boro’s season seemed dead,
With irate fans calling for McClaren’s head,
The Riverside, to some, seemed a real sticky wicket,
And one disgusted fan publicly ripped up his ticket.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Many fans even feared for the Boro’s survival,
But the past fourteen days brought a massive revival,
Which brought back the smiles and for very good reason,
For we enter, with hope, the last third of the season.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Our season was recently thought of as dead,
Now McClaren’s the best thing since the proverbial sliced bread,
At the end of the tunnel some light I now spy,
Our season starts now: let it end on a high.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The lads did us proud and the fans played their part,
We came out on top when we took on Stuttgart,
We enter the second leg leading two goals to one,
So let’s get behind Boro, for the job’s not yet done.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Though there’s now every sign that we’re on the way up,
And we’re doing so well in the great F.A. Cup,
Let us get behind Boro and continue the rally,
And then see off Charlton, down there in The Valley.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But today, as the F.A. Cup Final date nears,
The announcement’s been made which confirms long-held fears,
So Boro won’t take part in this year’s Final assembly,
Simply because it’s not being played at Wembley.
