What A Sad Boring Board!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 You win title’s, they don’t like the way that you play
You lose games, it’s the confidence vote
Seems them blokes on the board want to have it both ways
And were any of them managers of….note?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Next time there’s a league game on the telly
Take a look toward the directors box
Is a par for the course, or is it just me?
What a throughly unhappy, miserable….lot!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Too many old geezers are running our clubs
With, it seems to me, far too much power
At twenty to three, any Saturday, down the pub
There’s lots who could do better than this….shower!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Put ’em out to pasture, retire the whole lot
Dispatch ’em to Darby and Joan
They look as if a good laugh would finish ’em off
What a life, to do nothing but….moan!

Notes

I’ve been watching a lot of Spanish football, on sky recently, on the run in, to what’s been a terrificly exciting finish to their season.

But I have to say, considering how wealthy some of these club directors are, and I know, money won’t make you happy, what a sad, miserable looking old bunch of geezers, football club directors seem to be in Spain.

Every time the camera zooms in on them, there’s not a smile amongst them.
The happiest time for a Real Madrid director, must have come today, not cos they’ve won La Liga. But because they’ve just sacked Fabio Capello, a couple of weeks after he won the title for them!

Some people are never happy or satisfied, still it’s not the first time and it most certainly won’t be the last.
