Then she tells yer “Get lost, on yer bike”
Suddenly your whole life is in tatters
That’s, what being an England fan’s like

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 When the long winding road’s full of those on a roll
Who think they know all about strife
Yet, they still can’t console you, in sad times only you’ll know
That’s, what being an England fan’s like

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When yer sat in the stalls at “the pictures”
To escape from the rubbish that’s life
A film could bore you in tears or have you in stitches
That’s, what being an England fan’s like

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 When yer up for the thrill, fit to burst, feeling ill
From excitement and pent up emotion
Don’t it sadly deflate yer, to look out on the field
And watch players, who, just go through the motions?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Yet they do it each week for their club sides
Decked out in adidas, puma and nike
It would seem, in their national team, they’ve no national pride
And that’s what England fans really….dislike !

Really heartbreaking to watch, Jekyl and Hyde players who do it week in, week out, for our top club sides but, who, when it comes down to the international front, for the national team, seem to be found lacking.
