What does that feel like ?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 What another weekend of football
games that could have gone either way
nothing but a fag paper between them
especially the one in Munich on Saturday.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Chelsea were so dogged in defence
as Bayern went constantly on the attack
but the team from London stood their ground
especially without their skipper Terry at the back.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And at Wembley the Hammers rode their luck
because Blackpool had the chances to win
but poor old Holloway was left feeling glum
as Big Sam stood there with a large cheesy grin.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But let’s not forget the other play off match
played between York City and Luton Town
the Minstermen won so return to the Football League
but it left the Hatters fans bereft and feeling down.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So congratulations to all the winning teams
and commiserations to those that got beat
but the highlight of the Champions League Final
was watching Drogba for once staying on his feet !

Notes

Manchester City last week winning the title in stoppage time now Chelsea winning on penalties,and West Ham getting a late goal as well.
Watching on as a neutral it was exciting stuff and it left me thinking as I watched the celebrations by all the fans,as to how must that feel like ?
We won the F.A.Cup in 87 but since then we have had nothing to get excited about,hence the poem title.
