what happened to football

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Haul down the flags, fold them up neat
Germany and England, united in defeat.
The fans are together, never you fear
Drowning their sorrows with plenty of beer
They tried managers from California, we had a Swede
Too much money, methinks, means little will to succeed
Surely as pride comes before their falls
The only carrot left, is to take away their balls.
We watched a lot of diving and acting just so good
It isn’t footie any more, more like Hollywood
Why not borrow from Rugby and bring in the sin bin rule?
Give then half an hour and there would be no one left to fool!
Switch on the telly, no more of this sad tale
It’s 7 o’clock and back to Emmerdale
For us the World Cup’s over, isn’t it a shame
But your brain’s back in action and remember it’s a game
