What makes a proper Football fan ?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Some fans are made of granite
others are as soft as snow
while some fans stay to the end
others lose heart and go.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Some fans never get too down
they always come back for more
while the part-timers are at home
the true fan is there with the hardcore.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Some fans have no staying power
they drop out when things get rough
but the die-hards face it head on
adversity has made them tough.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Some fans just moan and groan
instead of getting behind their side
but the true fan just gets on with it
because they support the club with pride.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Some fans will never support another team
no matter what division they are in
but some fans will secretly follow another
and to the true fan that’s the ultimate sin.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Some fans will love their club forever
from childhood to becoming a man
they take the good times with the bad
therefore they truly are a proper football fan.

Notes

At the match on Saturday against Southampton when we went two down just before the interval lots of “fans” went home or back to the pub, but we came back to draw level and although we lost in the end we showed some fighting spirit to get back on terms.

Which when you think about it sums up certain supporters,while some go home others tough it out and get behind their teams.
